The Faithful

"He who is faithful in a very little is faithful also in much; and he who is dishonest in a very little is dishonest also in much." Luke 16:10

Having faith does not necessarily makes one a faithful.

Being faithful does not necessarily means one has faith.

Between "faith" and the "faithful"... honesty - is a thin line that separates one from the other.

One cannot be faithful and dishonest at the same time. It is either you are unfaithful and dishonest or truthful and sincere. For where honesty lies a belief in one's value and worth.

Lord, help me to be faithful to you
for you are faithful to me.
Help me to be honest at all times
for in honesty I can reflect in others' faith.

Work and Gem

“The best way to appreciate your job is to imagine yourself without one.” Oscar Wilde

Work is like gem.
So precious when it is scarce... so ordinary when it is abundant.

Gem is like work.
So valuable to the one who enjoys it... so common to the one whose interest is fading away.

Work and Gem.
Both important and essential... yet both rigid and pompous.

We oftentimes see work as a way of making a living.
We sometimes find work as a way of life.
And other times we feel work as a way of enjoying life.

Life if tough enough without it
and it is indeed a blessing to have one.
Lord, I pray that those who are out of work
Will be able to find one and survive this tough life.

I am a Sinner

"Just so, I tell you, there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who need no repentance." Luke 15:7
I don't point finger anymore.
Every time I do I realize that more fingers are pointing at me.
I can no longer blame anybody for the wrong I did.
Every time I do I feel guilt eating up my conscience.
I just accept the fact that I am weak and prone to make mistakes.
And every time I face that reality, I feel that I am human.
And being human sets me apart from other living things.
Because I am capable of being forgiven.

Lord, Forgive me, I am a Sinner

Bye Summer

Nothing last forever.

Some good things have to end.

Life is indeed transient.

And whatever is left of the good old memories.

They will be cherished forever.

Thank you for a wonderful summer.

"And thus the paths of those on earth were set right, and men were taught what pleases thee, and were saved by wisdom." Wisdom 9:18

Wisdom. Is it our ability to know everything? Is it knowing what others do not know? Or is it having the power to keep to ourselves what we know.

Wisdom. It is not knowing everything but rather knowing that everything has meaning. It is not knowing what others do not know and using it as a leverage to feel powerful over them. And it is not having the power to hoard knowledge to oneself but rather the ability to share that knowledge.

Wisdom on the other hand, comes not with knowledge alone but with the right attitude. It comes with a humble heart so that whoever uses it will be able to give right judgment. And it comes with faith because wisdom is thinking with the mind of God.

Lord, touch our heart
Make it humble and obedient
So that we may be able to pass judgment
Based on wisdom and love. Amen

You've Got A Friend

When you're down and trubled
And you need some love and care
And nothin', no nothin' is goin' right
Just close your eyes and think of me
And soon I'll be there to brighten up
Yeah, even your darkest night
You just call out my name
And you know, wherever I am
I'll come a-runnin'
To see you again

Winter, spring, summer or fall
All you have to do is call
And I'll be there, yeah I will
You've got a friend

When the sky above you
Grows dark and full of clouds
And that old north wind
He begins to blow
Here's what you do baby
Keep your head together
And call my name out loud
And soon you'll hear me
Knockin' at your door
Oh yes I will, yes I will
You just call out my name
And you know, wherever I am
I'll come a-runnin'
To see you again

Ain't it good to know
That you've got a friend
People can be so cold
They'll hurt you and desert you
And take your soul if you let them
Oh, don't let them

You've got a friend, yes you do
You've got a friend, yes you do
Right till the end, for you
Ain't it good to know

The saying... No Man is an Island is not just a saying.

It is not just a cliche. It is a fact.

We need friends and we need to be a friend.

Life is tough as it is. Friends make life a little lighter... a little fun... a little memorable.

Author's Note: This post is dedicated to my Salitype Society Sistahs who share common passion for the written words and the magic of photography. We are celebrating our 3rd Year Anniversary as virtual friends. A special kind of friendship that makes cyberworld rock. To all of you... thanks for the friendship.
